Edgar Aborn Built tobacco Sheds around the Ellington area. He also worked as a stone mason on the Aborn castle located to this day in Ellington. The Aborns family built a castle here in this town in about 1918, which became a notorious speakeasy during the Prohibition period in the 1920s.
Robert W. Aborn Built built a reputation as a herdsman. He traveled throughout many parts of the northeast showing dairy cows. The postcard collection kept by his wife shows the many places he visited before he bought his own farm in the 1920's.
